2023 VET Awards

On Tuesday the 29th of August the Annual VET awards were held by Wollongong CEO. Each school had the opportunity to nominate a VET student based on dedication to their course. 

At St Gregs we had 4 students and 1 teacher nominated for the award. 

These were: 

  • Peter Reardon- Construction 
  • Angus Ryan- Construction 
  • Thomas Anderson- Primary Industries
  • Orlando Reveler- Retail 
  • Our Construction Trainer Andrew Profilio was also nominated. 

 

After a lengthy process and a number of interview questions and videos sent through we had two students who won overall VET student of the year for their course. 

  • Thomas Anderson won Primary Industry VET student of the year.
  • Orlando Reveler won Retail VET Student of the year. 

 

There are over 1200 students who study a VET course in our schools so for these boys to receive Student of the year is an amazing accomplishment. 

A big Thank you to Hayley Mahoney and Michael Ivancic as well as all of our VET trainers for the support during this process.
