On Tuesday the 29th of August the Annual VET awards were held by Wollongong CEO. Each school had the opportunity to nominate a VET student based on dedication to their course.
At St Gregs we had 4 students and 1 teacher nominated for the award.
These were:
- Peter Reardon- Construction
- Angus Ryan- Construction
- Thomas Anderson- Primary Industries
- Orlando Reveler- Retail
- Our Construction Trainer Andrew Profilio was also nominated.
After a lengthy process and a number of interview questions and videos sent through we had two students who won overall VET student of the year for their course.
- Thomas Anderson won Primary Industry VET student of the year.
- Orlando Reveler won Retail VET Student of the year.
There are over 1200 students who study a VET course in our schools so for these boys to receive Student of the year is an amazing accomplishment.
