Mr Lionel Penberthy
Last week I had the honour to take a small group of the show team boys to Mr Lionel Penberthy’s funeral. Lionel was part of the St. Greg’s community for much of his life, as a parent and later, a volunteer in the College's Agriculture Department. There is an agricultural show team award named the “Lionel Penberthy Award” for 'Contribution to the Profile of the College in a Rural Community'. The show team boys formed a guard of honour in respect for Lionel. Two old boys and previous winners of the Lionel Penberthy Award; Riley Keogh and Beau Gilbert, also attended to pay their respects.
