Independent Catholic Primary School Rugby League Cup

On Thursday, 4 August, our Junior School Rugby League Team competed at the 2022 ICPSC Finals Day at Albion Park.

Unfortunately, we lost to Corrimal 20-12 in our first game. We regrouped and showed remarkable resilience and determination to win our second game against St Mark’s Dubbo 16-14 despite being down by 12 points with 9 minutes to go!!! Because we did not win both games, our journey in this competition ended. We wish Corrimal the best of luck next week at the State Finals.

After the carnival, the team was asked to nominate their players player. This player was someone who represented the College with great pride and true sportsmanship. Someone humble in both victory and defeat and someone their teammates felt upheld the standards of the College.  Congratulations to Finn Dumsney for being voted players player for our journey through the tournament.

On behalf of the College, we are all incredibly proud of how you represented us as a team on these gala days. Your resilience, humility and determination are an inspiration to us all.
