On Tuesday September 24th, Year 6 hosted the PYP Exhibition in The Gregorian Centre.
The night revolved around the central idea ‘‘Progress is achieved through thoughtful reflection and considered action.” Everyone was so excited preparing and adding their final touches to their area before the opening ceremony started. The opening ceremony was a ‘United Nations Meeting’ and was based around a review of the UN Sustainability Goals. The performers did an awesome job performing their roles and the slam poets were filled with great expression!
Once the opening ceremony was completed, we all went off with our groups to do a last-minute preparation before we presented to everyone. We made sure that everything was perfect! Once everyone arrived, they tested the Year 6 students on the learning by asking them heaps of different questions about their issues. We all spoke confidently and had great answers to nearly everything. Everybody’s spaces were set up in a presentable and engaging way which really made the visitors interested in their work. Many groups had different ways of attracting others to their space such as offering brochures, participating in quizzes and interactive activities and even the option to enter a life-sized phone box!
The night was so successful, and all the students were amazing with the way they presented to everyone. The night is something that we will all remember forever as it was such a great learning experience for us to participate in.
